About Project

This blog is here to offer advice and guidance around the issue of bullying. This blog offers advice about bullying, who to talk to, where you can go for help. It also offers advice about cyberbullying, what you can do about bullying and also this blog offers links to sites where you can get additional help and information about bullying.

The reason that I have made this blog is because I am a victim of bullying and so I have decided to help other people who are being bullied. I am also a cybermentor on the cybermentors site and my username is devan@bear. The cybermentors site offers support to those who have been bullied and is a mentoring program that trains mentors up and down the country. The site has many ways of offering help and advice, there are mentors who are like me, senior cybermentors who have more experience and who are older and there are also counselors who are there to support everyone one the site. These people are recognized by their @ tags and their coloured circles. Cybermentors (Cm's) have a light blue circle, Senior Cybermentors (Scm's) have a dark blue circle and counselors have a green circle.

On the site there are also welcome buddies who can be recognized by their pink circles and there are also moderators and staff on site who are recognized by their purple circles. Welcome buddies are there to welcome people to the site and help people who are unsure about what and who they can talk to on the site. These people can help people find their way around the site. Moderators and Netmoderator are there to protect everyone on the site, Net-mod is the chats filter which stops people from sending messages that are against the site rules e.g. giving out personal information. The moderators are there for people who are worried about someone on the site and also to assist net-mod with his work.

The site also offers a support lounge where members are able to post problems and have questions answered by a mentor on the site. You are also able to send Private Messages (PM's) or have Private Chats (PC's) with people on the site. This is so that we can keep the chat a happy place, as anything that is not happy should be said to a mentor via PC or PM.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks

Devan
